With over 35 years of experience in the care sector, I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. In 2005, I relocated from the Isle of Man to Kirriemuir, Scotland, and it was there that I developed a clear vision of what exceptional home care should look like.

In 2006, alongside my husband Mervyn Faloon, I founded Abbey Care Services. For the past 17 years, our dedicated team has been providing person-centered care to families in the Angus area. Our mission is to create a nurturing and supportive environment where individuals can thrive, maintain their independence, and receive the highest quality of care.

Care Coordinator - Jane Power

Hello, I’m Jane Power. For the past 9 years, I’ve been an integral part of Abbey Care Services. My journey began as the Cook at the Abbeycare home, where I nourished both bodies and spirits. Recently, I transitioned into the role of Care Coordinator, drawing from my 2 years of experience working as a carer in the community.

Now, you’ll find me in the office every Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Here, I meticulously develop care plans, conduct risk assessments, and create the weekly rotas that ensure seamless care for our staff and service users. It’s a privilege to contribute to the well-being of our Abbey Care Services family.

Consultant - Lesley Sinclair  

 Abbey Care Services are committed to providing the best service possible, in order to achieve that we have employed the services of an independent consultant. Part of Lesley's role is to ensure continuous improvement in the business, this also includes staff training and supporting Management where appropriate.  

Insight Coaching & Consultancy specialises in delivering customised business consultancy services for health and social care businesses. With over 25 years of leadership and management experience, I take a bottom-up and inclusive approach to tailor coaching and improvement solutions that meet the unique challenges of each care business that I work with. 

My philosophy is based on empowering responsible social care choices and enabling delivery through awareness and education. I work collaboratively with you to design and deliver programmes that fit your organisation's needs and expectations, with a focus on coaching, improvement and learning that is meaningful, relevant, and engaging for your staff. My aim is to create positive and enduring outcomes for your business and provide a personalised and attentive service that will help you achieve your goals. 

Staff Supervisor - Danielle Phinn  

 With over15 years of experience in the care sector, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals with compassion, dignity and respect.

I joined Abbey Care Servicesin August 2025 as a Community Care Assistant, and in February 2026 I was delighted to step into the role of Staff Supervisor, now based in the main office while still regularly supporting staff and clients out in the community.   

My time with Abbey Care Services has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited to continue growing within my role as our service develops. I believe that high‑quality care is built on essential values such as empathy, patience, reliability, good communication, and a genuine commitment to person‑centred support qualities I strive to uphold and encourage across our team every day.  

I hold SVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care, an HNC in Social Services, and an Honours Degree in Psychology and Counselling, all of which have strengthened my understanding of both the practical and emotional aspects of care.  

I am proud to be part of a service that puts people first, and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Abbey Care Services.
